I travelled on my own, my aim to meet new people and see life in a new way. I flew directly to Sydney where I spent a couple of weeks chilling on the beach before beginning the 6 week journey up the east coast, taking in Byron Bay, Brisbane, Fraser Island, Cairns and Cape Tribulation. There was a very long journey through mostly nothing down the centre of Australia from Uluru to Adelaide, along the Great Ocean Road and back to Sydney. I was shooting slide film back then so here are the best scanned shots from the trip…
