Katie and David, Hurlingham Club – 6th August 2011
How do you choose your wedding photographer? Who knows, however I remember someone saying to us before the wedding that, after all the organisation, money and effort that goes to making it the most special of days, 20 or so years down the line, the one thing you will still have, will be your wedding photos. Katie and I feel extraordinarily lucky to have come across Chris.
For us, we wanted a photographer who could not only capture the day in a discreet and professional manner, but someone who could also capture the reactions and emotions of our guests and of course ourselves. Chris did all of this and more, as well as managing to take all of our formals in a time pressured 15 minutes!
We have seen many other couples’ wedding photos and have managed to make all of them jealous of ours! Chris, thanks so much for all of the great photos which will serve as fantastic, happy memories for years to come.

Hannah and David, Clevedon Hall – 20th August 2011
We came across Chris slightly by chance, but we’re so glad we did. He has an amazing ability to be there when you need him, but virtually invisible when you just want to be enjoying the day. Chris captures the moments not just of the couple, but of the guests, so when you look through the photos you get to see your wedding from a whole new set of perspectives. Fun, lovely and incredibly talented – we and our families and friends could not be more delighted with the photos.
Huge thanks again for everything.

Katie and Ashley, Charleston Manor – 25th June 2011
Thank you very much for the beautiful photos you took, both for the engagement shoot and our wedding day itself. They capture every moment beautifully without it seeming staged or unnatural. We have really enjoyed looking through them all. For now, we are content with the DVD but we may be approaching you again with a view to having an album made up. Hope you had a good time doing the photos and working with our videographer, Bev. Seemed like you’d been working together for years! The hens no doubt will be really pleased with the shots you took, thanks for humouring them with those!
Hope the rest of the summer goes well, will be in touch.
Best wishes,
Katie and Ash.
PS. Should also mention Ash was particularly pleased with the stag photos you took, looked like it was straight out of some Etonian Old Boys club! Brilliant!
Vicki and Rich M, Old Thorns Manor Hotel, Liphook – 14th May 2011
We were so pleased when we found Chris’s website, he encapsulated everything we wanted in a wedding photographer, someone who could document the day and capture the event in its entirety and with some style (without causing a fuss), and also willing to do the ‘duty’ of the formal shots. He was excellent on the day of the wedding and stayed around a lot longer than we had thought he may( which was great!) The mixture of Black and White shots with the colour were exactly what we were looking for and he managed to capture all of the great moments of the day (especially where I fluffed up my lines!). I have already recommended him to friends and will continue to in the future. Thank you Chris.

Sarah and Paul, Northcote House, Sunningdale – 30th October 2010
We’re delighted to have been asked to provide a recommendation of Chris Geary’s photography. He did such such a magnificant job of capturing moments of our day that it’s difficult to put into words, without seeming over the top. The work he produced doesn’t just capture who was there and what they were doing, it still manages to evoke the actual emotions of those moments.
Chris’s style is very much documentary, blending into the background and taking natural looking shots, without disturbing the flow of the day. He can definitely do formal, we asked him for several formals to capture family groups, but he’s most happy with a natural style; and this suited us perfectly, absolutely spot on. He used this style both on the day and the pre-wedding shoot. A very useful day, both for Chris and us. We could scope out where the best places were for our shots.
I only remember Chris at brief moments through the day, just after the ceremony, as Sarah and I enjoyed a canape or two each, I remember him then. But then he melted away again and I don’t remember him again until the cake cutting – he was always in the right place, but definitely not in your face.
After the day he did everything he said he would, when he said he would. Our CD arrived (High res for printing, Low res for online and a slide show set to music of our choice) and we were staggered; they were simply beautiful photographs.
We just can’t recommend Chris enough. He made our day simple, and captured glorious emotional moments, permanently. We wish him every success in the future.
Lisa and Mark, Lansdowne Club, London – 28th August 2010
We simply cannot recommend Chris highly enough. We were one of the first weddings that he shot professionally but when we saw his portfolio and met him we instantly knew that he would do a fantastic job and he certainly did not disappoint. His passion for photography (particularly wedding photography) is clear from his work. He has a remarkable talent for capturing the “moments” that, as newlyweds, you want to treasure forever, not just of you but also of all your friends and family. He is a very personable guy who fitted in tremendously on the day. He blended in during the ceremony and reception and didn’t make his presence obvious except when directing the group shots which he did professionally and efficiently. He made us feel very comfortable and all the guests found him to be very approachable. He is a very gifted reportage photographer who we are sure has a very promising photography career ahead of him and we feel so privileged to have been a part of it.

Ann and Andy, New Malden – 16th October 2010
We were very lucky to have you recommended to us by Shona and Ed. Looking at your website we were both impressed by the quality of your work, and how you manage to capture so much more than just a standard photograph.
On meeting you we felt at ease because of your approachable manner (and Andy liked the iPad!).
The photos truly captured our wedding day, all the big and little moments, many without us even being aware of you taking them.
Thank you for taking the traditional group wedding photographs too (Ann’s parents are very pleased!).
Best wishes,
Ann & Andy
Zoë and James, Henley Golf and Country Club, Henley-in-Arden – 20th August 2010
We have known Chris for many years now and we can honestly say he is one of the most genuine and trustworthy people you are ever likely to meet.
Chris came to our wedding, as our photographer, and we were very excited to have him there with us. A perfectionist at heart, we knew we had chosen well.
A wedding day is said to be “the best day of your life” and time waits for no man, so the photographer is pretty important! All the photographs were professionally captured by pure skill and talent and we feel, through the photographs, we can relive the day again and again.
A true ‘documentary’ photographer, Chris, managed to collate outstanding photographs of our day that tells the story beautifully.
Thank you so very much Chris, for providing us with the personal touch and going the extra mile to ensure everything was covered. An absolutely fabulous Gallery and the rain did not spoil a thing!
Thank you.
Kate and Steve, Littywood Manor, Stafford – 2nd May 2010
We are so very thankful that Chris contacted us with an offer of wedding photography after getting engaged. Steve is rather picky about photographers, and lenses and such, and on reading Chris’s website, and checking his ‘credentials’ was satisfied that he’d be ok!!
And the end result was so much more than ok!!!
The whole day ran smoothly, and Chris arrived a little early but just missed catching the portable hair setting machine which I’m quite pleased about!! He caught many lovely moments which go into the bridal party dressing and headed off to take the groom’s family photos which came back perfect, (I was worried as the boys aren’t good at smiling!)
After that, I don’t remember seeing him much during the ceremony, but from the photo’s we’ve received from him, we know he was very much there although inconspicuous.
He was excellent at the formal photographs we requested as well, getting through them quickly and efficiently, and he was good at getting people where he wanted them.
It’s his reportage style that has got all our friends and family talking though. His website address was passed around from cousin to cousin via facebook to get people to have a look, and they were all so impressed.
I’ve since made up a digital photobook, and it contains almost 200 photos as I couldn’t leave many out! Not many brides have that luxury after their wedding.
Chris has really provided us with a perfect and wonderful reminder of our day, and his photography has left us the whole story of the day in pictures. He captured so many moments, hugs, smiles and kisses, and it’s true when they say the day flies by, but thanks to him we’ve got them all recorded!!
Shona & Ed, Surrey – March 13th 2010
When we started looking for a wedding photographer Ed and I talked about the things we both felt were important about capturing our day. Specifically, we didn’t want to feel awkward around our photographer, or to spend too long posing, or to make our wonderful day appear too rigid or formal. We were thrilled to find Chris, as we felt he really listened to what we wanted. We loved the style of Chris’ photography from the beginning and his easygoing personality meant that we felt immediately comfortable in his presence. Chris took us out for a pre-wedding shoot a couple of weeks before the wedding so that we could all get used to how it would go on the day – and Ed and I were absolutely amazed with the end result! The photos really captured our feelings for each other in a really soft and unexpected way. We hadn’t expected such special photos from a mere pre-wedding shoot!
On the day itself, Chris was absolutely fantastic. He was really unobtrusive and put everyone at ease. While we remember posing for some photos, on the whole we just felt so comfortable to be ourselves, safe in the knowledge Chris was capturing everything. When we received the photos we couldn’t believe how great they were. They captured the day, the people and the setting so perfectly and we simply couldn’t ask for more. Everyone we loved, and every part of the day that we loved, were captured beautifully.
We loved meeting Chris and were so happy to have chosen him as our wedding photographer. Our wedding photos are so special to us, and we love looking back over them and reliving our magical day.
Thanks again!

The Salter Family, Berkshire – 1st November 2009
Chris, Chris Chris. I don’t know what to say….they are absolutely Fabulous! I am soooo chuffed with them, you can’t believe how much I love them. They are perfect!!
I was hoping you’d get a few goodens as the shoot went well and the kids took to you very quickly for my two. All was very chilled and just what I would look for in a photographer.
Thank you soo much, hope you’ve had some of the wine, you deserve it!
If you ever need a reference for your work, please let us know and I hope we can do this again sometime soon.
